Flight Lieutenant Edward Trevor Robinson AM (Service No:64383) enlisted in the RAAF on 1 April 1942 as an Aircraftman 1 attached to No 3 School of Technical Training (STTS) Ultimo - he had served 70 days as an A/Corporal at the University Camp prior to enlisting. Promoted to Pilot Officer on 19 December 1942, he was an Instructor at No 1 RDF School on 3 January 1943 and attached to No 47 RDF Station when he was promoted to Flying Officer on 19 June 1943. In 1944 he was attached to No 350 Radar Station and promoted to Flight Lieutenant on 1 January 1945. Flight Lieutenant Robinson was attached to No 350 Radar Station at Discharge on 5 February 1946.

Trevor was born in 1922 in Roebourne WA, the eldest child of Vivian Albert Robinson (b1888 in Roebourne, WA) and Emily Joyce (aka Joyce) Murray (b1894 in Snowtown, South Australia). Vivian (a Station Manager/Pastoralist) and Joyce married in 1921 in Rose Park, South Australia and settled at Coongan Station in the Pilbara, WA where they raised their family. Vivian had served in WWI (Private; Service No:7302). Vivian and Joyce moved to Burekup, WA in the early 1940s, where Vivian was a Pastoralist.

Trevor spent his early years in the Pilbara and was a Student at the University of Sydney in 1942 when he enlisted in the RAAF. Following his Discharge in 1946 he completed his studies at The Univesity of Western Australia and then joined the Civil Service in Melbourne, Victoria where he worked for the Department of Treasury, Department of Defence and Department of Civil Aviation. In Melbourne in 1966 Trevor married Kaye Lois Hyett (b1940 in Bendigo, Victoria) - Kaye was working in Melbourne as a Research Officer. In the 1994 Australia Day Honours, Trevor was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) 'for service to the superannuation industry and to peace and disarmament' (Trove). Trevor and June both died in 2007 - Trevor in June and June in November.
