Joan Agnes McWILLIAM was born in Wahroonga, Sydney, NSW on 17th August, 1917

Her parents were Neville Gilbert McWILLIAM & Agnes WATT who married in St Marks Church in Darling Point, Sydney in 1914

She trained as a Nursing Sister in St Vincents Hospital before enlisting in the RAAF (Nursing Service) & was discharged on 24th January, 1944 on her marriage to William Walter Buckeridge PAYNE

Joan died in Western Australia on 25th October, 1991 late of Claremont, WA & Lindfield & Turramurra, NSW and was cremated at Karrakatta Cemetery

Her husband William Walter Buckeridge PAYNE (NX124856) & (N11131) also served during WW2 in the Australian Army, 7th Field Regiment and was discharged on 24th December, 1945
