William Holcroft BROCKLEBANK was born on 3rd September, 1891 in Dunedin, New Zealand
His parents were William BROCKLEBANK and Frances Hodgman TYREE
He had previous service with the New Zealand Army Corps in the Samoan Expeditionary Force (see following link to his Biography)
William was Killed in Action on 13th October, 1917, Paschendaele, Belgium and is buried in Potijze Chateau Grounds Cemetery, Ypres, Belgium - he is honoured on the Australian War Memorial and the Auckland War Memorial. He was awarded the British War Medal and the Victory Medal
