"DROWNED WHILE FISHING
PORT ELLIOTT, Thursday. A man named Harry Cosgrove, a motor-man employed by the Municipal Tramway Trust, who lives at 36 North-terrace, Hackney, was swept off the rocks while fishing at Port Elliott to-day and drowned. His 12-year-old son who had been fishing with him was also swept off the rocks but was washed ashore. Mr. Cosgrove's body was recovered by Messrs. J. Sibley and C. Barton, of the Port Elliott Lifesaving Club. Drs. F. T. Douglas and Graham Shipway, of Victor Harbor, unsuccessfully attempted to rescusitate Cosgrove." - from the Broken Hill Barrier Miner 02 Nov 1933 (nla.gov.au)
