Gerald was a Farmer in York, WA and served in the AIF in WWI - Private/Trooper (Service No:3539) with 10th Light Horse Regiment. Following his Discharge in 1919, Gerald returned to York and in 1920 married Minnie Geraldine Robinson (b1896 in Menzies, WA).
