Commenced return to Australia on 11 May 1919 aboard HT Borda disembarking on 27 June 1919

During 1920c Norman married Myrtle Doris Jones in Victoria

Also served in WW2 when he lowered his age by about five years. At the time of enlisting for WW2 he was residing in the Maitara area, NSW with the next of kin given as his daughter Enid Doris House of Mary Street, Richmond, Victoria

On 30 September 1941 he was appointed Lance Corporal but reverted to Private on 2 October 1941
