Lieutenant Noel Parker Dixon RFC was awarded the Air Force Cross in 1919. He was promoted to Flight Lieutenant in 1922. He stayed with the RAF during peacetime and was appointed Squadron Leader during 1931 and was seconded for service with the Egyptian Air force in 1936. He was made a Wing Commander in January 1937. During WW2 he was promoted Group Captain in 1941.
He had been a member of the 300th Mechanical Transport Company in the AIF WW1 and had left Australia in December 1914.
