He was the brother of twins Mabel Alice and Constance Clark.
Mabel became Mrs Jupp (not Yupp).
He was in Australia as a speaker and organiser for the Good Roads movement, encouraging improvements and extensions across Queensland, Victoria, NSW and South Australia.
