From Sue Guinan to Tasmania – The Great War 1914-1918
Pte FRANK SOLOMON IVES,
A 20 year old bank clerk from Devonport the son of William Napoleon and Rebecca Ives he served with the 1st Machine Gun Battalion and returned to Australia 1st February 1918. He died at the Caulfield Military Hospital Victoria on the 26th March 1918 of pulmonary tuberculosis and heart failure and was buried in the East Devonport Cemetery, Tasmania, Australia.
THE FUNERAL of the late PRIVATE FRANK SOLOMON IVES will leave the West Devonport Wharf on arrival of SS Oonah, about 2 p.m. on FRIDAY, for St. Paul's Cemetery East Devonport.
