Arrived in France 2 June 1915.

A Squadron 1st King Edwards Horse.

Commissioned 16 February 1917.

Educated at Camberwell Grammar School and Geelong Grammar School. In August 1914, at the outbreak of war he was in partnership with a friend in Boiardo Station, Camperdown. Arranged passage to England on R.M.S. Medina, joining 1st King Edwards Horse.
