Severely Wounded Leg and Arm during the defence of Vieille Chapelle, Huits Maisons and Fosse Bridgeheads 9, 10, 11 April 1918.

Discharged 13 February 1919.

Ewing Cooke won recognition as a breeder and judge of dairy cattle (Guernsey) winning an estimated 10,000 ribbons as an exhibitor. His farm, Moongi Stud, Bexhill was considered a historic cattle breeding base.
