Reginald Edgar AVERY was born in Mackay, Queensland on 5th March, 1880

His parents were John Symons AVERY & Elizabeth Livingston EDGAR

He enlisted on 31st January, 1916 and embarked with the 49th Infantry Battalion, 2rd reinforcements from Brisbane on the HMAT Clan Macgillivray on 1st May, 1916

He was Killed in Action in France on 4th April, 1918 - no known grave

Reginalds name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial & the Villers Bretonneux Memorial
