At the time of enlisting he was residing in Hamilton, Victoria
Son of Gustav Uebegang and Maria Louisa Uebergang nee Zeuschner of Horsham, Victoria. Brother of Ernest Gustave Uebergang who returned to Australia on 6 November 1919 having served with the 1st Divisional Train.
Commenced return to Australia on 31 January 1918 aboard HT Osterley disembarking on 13 April 1919
