Pte Arthur Charles Homer was born in Bathurst in 1889.
On the 25th September 1914 he enlisted in the Australian Imperial Forces with the 5th Light Horse Regiment. Sadly, was killed in action at Anzac Cove, Gallipoli, on the 28th June 1915 and is buried at the Shell Green Cemetery, Gallipoli Peninsula.
Arthur Charles Homer was one of the five known Aboriginal soldiers buried at Gallipoli.
