Son of Robert Campbell, 26 Tupper Street, Marrickville, Sydney, New South Wales
Stanley served in France and was wounded at Bullecourt 25 October 1917 and invalided to No 4 Western General Hospial England and Temple Bar Hospital. he was appointed home service depot carpenter. Mentioned in despatches and congratulated in routine orders for conspicuous bravery (Australian Military Orders No 11, 12 January 1918).
