6 July 1917 - Court Martialled for Desertion between 31 May 1917 and 14 June 1917. Please Not Guilty. Found Guilty and sentenced to 15 years in a Military Prison. 17 July 1918 - Sentence Suspended
27 May 1919 - Returned to Australia on board Rio Padre

9 January 1929 - NSW State Secretary of the RSSILA wrote to Base Records on behalf of Oscar requesting that he be issued with the Returned Soldiers Badge.
