Family interest
George enlisted in 1915 at around 26 years of age, initially he tried to enlist under his full name George Edward Joseph Dunn at his first attempt George was knocked back on grounds of hear problems.
George then dropped his middle names and enlisted in Sydney and made it to Egypt with the 6th Light Horse after some time in Egypt George was diagnosed with Valvular Dysfunction (Heart) and returned to Australia.
I expect given that in that period because everyone's mates were going George pulled out all stops to get to serve.
George changed his name to Earl Albert Charles Bell in the 1920's settled in Brisbane and had another family and passed away in 1939.
