John Feehan
John Sylvester FEEHAN was a grazier and horse breeder who had properties at Macedon and Caramut. He married in 1920 to Eileen Agnes Hughes, and in 1925 purchased the "Coolart" property at Somers which he owned until 1937.

John Sylvester Feehan was a 51yo grazier when he enlisted in the AIF on 13/10/1915 as a remount officer.
At the time of enlistment he gave his address as "White Lodge" Macedon, Victoria.
He left Australia on 12/11/1915 aboard the HMAT Orsova and served in Egypt in his role of remount officer.
He returned to Australia on 14/2/1917 and was discharged on 6/3/1917.
He farmed in the Caramut area after marrying in 1920, and in 1925 moved to "Coolart" at Somers, Victoria where he lived until his death in 1939.
