War Service/Promotions:   Travelled to England, via Suez and Alexandria, Egypt, disembarking Southampton, Hampshire, England, 16 July 1918. Proceeded to France from Dover, Kent, England, on 4 October 1918. Transferred to Australian General Base Depot at Rouelles, France, 6 October 1918. Taken on Strength, to 12th Army Bde, Australian Field Artillery on 12 October 1918. Transferred to A.A.O.C., France, on 9 February 1919, and Taken on Strength the same day. He was still with A.A.O.C. on 7 June 1919. He was marched out to England via Calais, France, on 30 June 1919. On furlough between 21 July and  5 August 1919, reporting to Sutton Veny, Wiltshire, England, before his return to Australia.

Fate:   Returned to Australia per HMAT A14 Euripides, 6 September 1919, disembarking 20 October 1919. He married Nancy Deeble, 14 September 1938, St Clements Church of England, Elsternwick, Vic.

Place of Death:   24 November 1979, Heidelberg, Vic.

Place of Cremation:   His ashes were scattered atSpringvale Botanical Cemetery, Springvale, Vic
