Pt J W Anthony.
The Pioneer, Saturday 24 Jul 1915.
Thrown up from the Sea.
The following is an exact copy of a note found recently
by Mr R. Phillips at Point Annie, near Daly Head, Yorkes
Peninsula. The paper was enclosed in a square screw top sweets bottle,
which had evidently not been long in the water :—
Pte. J. Anthony A.A.M.C., left for the front 18/5/15,
Pte. J. T. Ball A.A.M.C., sailed from Melbourne, 18/5/15.
'Thrown overboard Great Australian Bight, 21/5/15.
