Fredrick Thomas Becker was Born at his Familys Cattle property called Stonecroft, in Taroom Queesnland on 30th June 1891. He was 1 of 12 Children of Thomas and Mary Ann Becker, and was also 1 of 4 brothers to Serve in the First world War, 2 of which would not return home. His first brother to enlist was Charles Edward Robert Becker, who sadly Died of Pneumonia on the 17th of December 1915 in Egypt. Soon 2 of Fredricks other Brothers, George Atkins Becker and James Samual Becker to enlist would join together, with James being killed and George being wounded at Pozieres. Then on 17 Febuary, Fred enlisted into the australian army, and was in the 15th infantry battalion. He shipped out on HMAS Itonus and arived in france to fight in the battleof the somme. He fought in France and Belgium being wounded twice, a gun shot wound to the chin on Saturday, 10th March 1917, and another in the buttocks on Tuesday 9th October 1917. He remained a Private throughout the war, with the exception of being an acting Corporal at one stage of his service. He would survive the war and be awarded the Briitish war medal and the victory medal. He was discharged from the AIF in Brisbane on Wednesday 10th april 1918 and returned back to his home town of Taroom.

Then when Ww2 broke out, Fredrick, to old to join the AIF, joined the Volunteer Defence Corps and served in Oakey Queensland as a Private. He was descharged on the 9th August 1944.

He died aged 78 by natural causes in Brisbane, Queensland on the 18th May 1970.
