"HARROWVEN.— On August 3, at his residence 77 Armstrong-street, Middle Park, Alfred William, dearly beloved husband of Florence, loved father of Alfred and Phyllis (Mrs Gunther of Wangaratta), grandfather of Valda and Alan, (late 24th Battalion, A.I.F.. and Victorian Railways), aged 64 years. No flowers, by request. Remains at Rentle and Holdsworth's parlors."
