FATHER MANGAN CELEBRATES JUBILEE

His Grace the Archbishop, Most Rev. D. Mannix, and his Grace the Coadjutor-Archbishop. Most Rev. J. D. Simonds, attended the celebrations yesterday at Balaclava to mark the 50th anniversary of the ordination to the priesthood of the pastor, Rev.W. B. Mangan, M.A. A special sermon was preached by Very Rev. Dr. Jordan, M.S.C., J.C.D., and the Franciscan students' choir of St. Paschal's College, Box Hill, sang the Mass. Father Mangan was ordained, from St. Patrick's College, Manly, by the late Archbishop Carr, in St. Patrick's Cathedral on January 1, 1901. Details of the jubilee celebrations will be given next week.
