(When the war ended he died because of his wounds 18 months later. During the war he was an engineer.)
Arnall's Folly...
It was called this because Henry Arnall was supposed to dig a secret tunnel 20m deep and then tunnel backwards, so he started, but a few months later a huge mound of soil began to appear. It eventually reached about 6m high and 9m wide. With that on display, the tunnels did not remain secret, and Arnall's Folly became a huge joke.

Returned to Australia: 10th December 1918
14th March 1916 was transfered to the 2nd Pioneer Bn. in Egypt.
13th September 1916 was wounded in action and transfered to a hospital in England.
Henry was discharged from the army on 20 Feb 1918 due to his injuries. He rejoined the army again on the 4th of September 1918 and went back to Western Front and was there until the end of the war.
He was discharged finally from the army on the 14th March 1919

Biography
Harry Frood ARNALL was born on 10th May, 1871 in Truro, Cornwall, England
His parents were George Woodhouse ARNALL and Elizabeth Harriet FROOD
Harry married Evelyne Eadith FIDDAMAN on 18th July, 1898 at Coral Grove, Maclean, NSW
He had previously served for 11 & a half years in the 1st New South Wales Scottish Rifles and as a Lieutenant in the Senior Cadets. He enlisted for the 1st time on 27th April, 1915 with the 20th Battalion, C Company - Unit embarked from Sydney on board the ship Berrima on 25th June 1915 - He returned in 1917 and later reinlisted & returned to the battlefield
He finally returned to Australia on the ship Somali and disembarked on 10th February 1919 & was again discharged on 14th March, 1919
Harry died on 16th August, 1920 from the effects of wounds he had received - He is buried in Waverley Cemetery in Sydney and also commemorated on the Australian War Memorial
He was recommended for "Mentioned in Dispatches" and also received the 1914-15 Star British War Medal and the Victory Medal
Harrys son Alfred Robert ARNALL b. 1899 also enlisted for service in 1918 aged 18 but his father stipulated that his consent was on the condition that his son did not embark until reaching the age of 19. Alfred never embarked.
