The second Son of Henry James and Caroline Clark of ‘Burnside’, Avenel, Victoria. He was given a send-off along with six other volunteers from Avenel they were all presented with wallets and during the evening a musical programme was given, refreshments and a dance followed.
His Brother John Carleton Clark was killed in action on 3rd May 1915 Dardanelles, Gallipoli, Turkey, John is buried at Quinn's Post Cemetery, Gallipoli,Turkey
