"DEATH OF A FELLOW WORKER"
News fo the death of Private C.H. Arring, of Port Pirie, who was killed in action in France on October 7 was received yesterday. The information was conveyed to his friend Mr. P. Persse by the Rev. A Pason, to whom it was telegraphed by the military authorities. Private Arring was working on the wharf here for a number of eyars, and was familiarly known as 'Fellow Worker" a pseudonym gained by his frequent use of the words when addressing his comrades from the soap-box on industrial matters. He was a frequent speaker during one stirring period. He was a Swede by birth and about 42 years of age.
