Edwin along with his Brother Albert are listed on the Logan Village Nominal Roll for ANZACS. He was born 13th November 1897 in Woodhill Queensland. He died 23rd February 1917 in France.
His parents were William James and Amelia Jane nee Cavell.
Barnes are one of the Pioneer families of the district.
