Parents: - George Francis Cunningham and Ellen Newsom Carr married 1891, Dubbo, New South Wales.
Wife: - Ellen Mallam, (married 1930, in Chatswood, New South Wales) of Turramurra, New South Wales, Australia.
Corporal Stephen Cunningham was part of the 9th Division HQ Advance Party evacuating from Tobruk. He drowned when the Lighter No A47 army landing vessel he was aboard was sunk by enemy action. His remains were not recovered.
