Described on enlisting as 29 years 11 months old, single, 5' 10.5" tall; 170 lbs;
medium complexion; hazel eyes; light brown hair; Methodist

8/9/1915       enlisted into WWI at 

4/11/1915     appointed to 3rd Squadron at Maribyrnong, Victoria

12/11/1915    embarked from Port of Melbourne, onboard HMAT Orsova A67
                     as a Private with 1st Australian Remount Unit, 3rd Squadron

31/12/1915    sick with bronchitis, admitted to 3rd Auxillary Hospital, Cairo, Egypt
11/1/1916      discharged to unit

10/7/1916      sick with enteritis, admitted to British Red Cross Convalescent Camp, Abbassia
21/7/1916      discharged to Tel-el-Kebir 

23/8/1916      marched out with horses to overseas onboard HT Caledonia, for Salonika, ex 
3/9/1916        disembarked into Alexandria
4/9/1916        rejoined unit

16/9/1916      sick with diarrhoea to hospital, Heliopolis and Abbrassia

9/10/1916      sick with dysentry, sent to hospital in Moascar and Heliopolis
