Percival Coombs Collins was born in 1896 to parents John William Henry Collins and Elizabeth Balfour. He was working as a cleaner at the time of enlistment in 1918. He was aged 21. He embarked from Sydney aboard the HMAT A30 Borda. On the 17th July he joined the 13th Field Artillery. He returned to Australia on the 8th July 1919.
He married Hazel Allan in 1923 in Bondi and at the time he was a coach builder, he later went on to become an Electrical Assistant. Percival and Hazel only had one child, Marie.
Percival died in Canberra in 1970 and both his and Hazels ashes are at the Norwood Park Crematorium.
