Next of kin given as his 'cousin' Ethel Walton of Florence Street, Hornsby, NSW later she claimed in a Statutory Declaration that she was in fact his defacto widow. Mabel wrote to Base Records 20 May 1916 stating that Ethel was not Victor's cousin and in fact was not related to him
6 October 1920 - Ethel Walton signed a Statutory Declaration to say the his real name was actually Victoy Henry Provis and that as far as she knew Victor was not married and had no children from his union with her and that she had not applied for a pension. His record shows:- Husband of Mabel Mary Provis of South Gippsland; father of Phyllis Mabel Provis and Dorothy Alice Provis. Mabel subsequently provided a copy of the marriage certificate
Medals: 1914-15 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal issued to M.M. Provis
