Born 28th Sep 1878 Parkside to Richard Randall Knuckey and Evelyn Fath Hawke. He married Margery Edelsten McDonald on 1st Jan 1914 at Adelaide. Married in the presents of Austin Hewitt, Gentleman of Glen Osmond and Mr R.P. Young, Agent of Walkerville officiating Minister Rev F. Webb. He was an assistant Metallurgist at Broken Hill Mines between 1911-1915. Lieutenant Knuckey, 5th Pioneer enlisted 1st April 1917 and returned to Australia 1st August 1919.
