Private James H. Taylor returned to Australia on 17 March 1919 and married Valmai Isabella Diana Armstrong in Sydney, in 1929. He had a successful career with the Prudential Insurance Company, retiring in 1960. He died at Point Vernon, Queensland in 1976, age 80.
