MISSING DEBTOR.
Believed to Have Left the State.
Exhaustive inquiries have been made in Perth to trace Joseph McBrearty of West Perth, formerly a hotelkeeper. It is assumed that he has left the State. The Official Receiver (Mr. A. E. Johnson) reported to this effect to Mr Registrar Davies in the Bankruptcy Court yesterday. Mr. Johnson said that he had indirect information that McBrearty might be in Melbourne and he had communicated with the Official Receiver there in an endeavour to locate him. On Mr. Johnson's application, the public examination of McBrearty was adjourned sine die. It was to have begun a fortnight previously, but the debtor did not appear and the Registrar issued a warrant for his arrest.
