DENMARK NOTES
DEATH OF MR. JAMES HOPSON.
Deepest sympathy is extended to Mrs. James Hopson and family in their recent tragic bereavement. A gloom was cast over the town, and district when news of "Jim's" death came through. Deceased had lived in and around Denmark for very many years. He was a member of the 28th Battalion, and a very active member of the local branch R.S.L. With his cheery smile and never ruffled temper, "Jim" Hopson went along the even tenor of his way. Naturally he was most popular, and his death means the loss of a fine citizen. At the funeral of Mr. Jas Hopson on Tuesday, 1st December, there was a large attendance of relatives and friends, showing ample testimony to the respect in which the deceased gentleman was held. The Rev. A. Mason conducted an impressive service in the Methodist Church, after
which the coffin was borne by motor hearse to the ceremony.
