Add my storyBiography contributed by Stephen Brooks
George was the son of George and Sarah Jarvis, of Sutterton, Boston, England. He came out to Australia from England some time during 1909, and his occupation was listed by his mother as 'fruit garden'
His mother also stated on his Roll of Honour form 'Father died when he was 13 years of age leaving two boys and two girls, younger than he. He was the main support of the Mother and family.'
George spent three years in the AIF, enlisting with the 12th Battalion but serving mainly with the 13th Machine Gun Company until his death during the Battle of Amien.
