"CUDDAY.— In loving memory of our dear son and brother, Frazer Harold George Cudday, who gave his life for the Empire, in France, on January 22nd, 1917.
Somebody wept as he marched away,
Looking so handsome, brave and grand.
Somebody's kiss on his forehead lay.
Somebody clung to his parting hand.
Somebody is watching and waiting for him,
Yearning to hold him once more to her heart.
But there he lay in a Foreign land,
In a brave Australian's grave.
(Inserted by his loving mother, sisters and brothers.) - from the Townsville Daily Bulletin 22 Jan 1918 (nla.gov.au)
