Harcourt Byron Ernest ALDHAM was born in "Eden" Fernvale, Queensland on 25th May, 1881 to parents Harcourt ALDHAM and Mary Jane JONES
He married Bridget GALLOGLY in 1912 in Tenterfield NSW
Harcourt enlisted with the 3rd Battalion, Australian Commonwealth Horse which served in the Boer War - Unit left Sydney in April, 1902 on board the ship Manhattan
On 5th July, 1916 he enlisted for World War 1 with the 19th Battalion, 18th reinforcements - Unit embarked from Sydney on the HMAT Suevic on 11th November, 1916 - he returned to Australia on 31st March, 1919
Harcourt died on 31st August, 1957 and is buried in Coffs Harbour Historic Cemetery, NSW - Plot Ang3
