Biography contributed by Faithe Jones

PTE. G. F. BLAKE.
Another on the long list of Pozieres "missing" was Pte Geo. Francis Blake, second son of Mr and Mrs Blake, lately resident in Central Avenue. He is now recorded as killed in action on that memorable date, July 19. Pte. Blake was a married man, 28 years of age, a Footscray native. He worked as a civilian at Hills's timber yard and enlisted as long ago as 1915.
