He emigrated to Australia in 1913 and enlisted in Bourke, New South Wales. He was 30 and the son of Hector and Annie Macleod, of Lairg, Sutherlandshire, Scotland and subsequently of 26 Morgan Street, Govan Hill, Glasgow.
Not on Lairg Memorial because family moved to Glasgow when he was young. Educated in Glasgow
