He was a founder and a producer of the famous "Fragment" entertainers, who raised £6,000 for charity after the First World War, in which he served with the 26th Battalion.
There was a large and representative gathering at the funeral at Cornelian Bay on Saturday of Mr G. M. ("Monty") Anderson, who died at Hobart on Thursday. The A.B.C., in which Mr Anderson had been senior studio supervisor at Hobart for eight years, was represented by the acting manager (Mr A. C. Jowett) and members of all departments. Chief mourners were Messrs J. Anderson (son), E. Anderson (brother) and E. A. Lawrence (father-in-law). The service at the crematorium was conducted by the Rev Nash, of St. George's Church, Battery Pt. The Rev A. F. Thomas referred to Mr Anderson's war service, and service to the public as a member of the A.B.C.
