Private Gabriel Aarons was a Roman Catholic soldier hailing from Victoria, Australia.
After his service with the 13th Light Horse Regiment, he returned home to Australia on the 17th of of October 1916.
Private Gabriel Aarons had a brother 6 years his elder, Private Harold Aarons who was wounded by shrapnel and died in Gallipoli on the 6th of August 1915.
