Son of Joseph Unsworth and Marion Unsworth nee MacIntosh of Tenth Avenue, Maylands, WA formerly of Greta, NSW
17 August 1914 - enlisted at Blackboy Hill with the with the rank of Private.
16 September 1916 - transferred to Australian Provost Corps
Commenced return to Australia on 17 December 1918 aboard HT Port Hacking disembarking on 17 Janaury 1919
25 March 1919 - discharged at the 5th Military District
