Hercules George LEARD was born in 1897 in Kars Springs via Scone, N.S.W.

His parents were James Brindley LEARD and Mary Rose COLLINS

He enlisted on 17th April  1916 with the 34th Australian Infantry Battalion S/N 1848

Unit left Sydney on HMAT Port Sydney on 4th Sept. 1916

He was killed in action on 3rd April, 1918 Villers Bretonneux
