The latest military orders contain the following: — 'Decorations and medals conferred by His Majesty the King of Italy : Bronze medal for military valor : Squadron Sergeant-Major John Temple Riley, Light Horse.' Jack Riley now wears a lieutenant's star. Before the war, he was a well-known prospector in the Zeehan district, and before that again be sampled the quality of the Boers in the scrap for supremacy in South Africa. Valor couldn't help us caping from Jack. He is lined all ever inside with it, and 'twould be singular, indeed, if a junk didn't get to the surface.
