Born 1889 in Goulburn, New South Wales, Eileen was the daughter of Ellen McLAUGHLIN, of 146 Phillip Street, Sydney, NSW
Enlisting at the age of 27 years on 01 December 1916 she embarked 09 June 1917 from Sydney per 'Mooltan'. Eileen spent her war years serving in Egypt and returned to Australia per 'Ulysses' 15 March 1919 and was discharged as medically unfit 12 July 1919'
She was awarded the Medal of Military Merit 4th Class by H M King of the Hellenes.
