Martin John ALEXANDER was a 21yo labourer who joined the AIF on 4/2/1916. He was living at Lancefield Junction with his family. After training at the Bendigo Camp he embarked for overseas on 4/4/1916 on HMAT Euripides as part of the 6th Battalion.
He was KIA by shellfire on 16/9/1916 at Chateau Segard and is buried at the Bedford House Cemetery, Zillebeke, Belgium
