"LATE BMDR. R. G. BURNSIDE.
Bmdr. Robert D. Burnside, who was killed in action in France on August 31, was 22 years of age. He was the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. D. Burnside, of Walkerville road, St. Peters. He was educated at the East Adelaide public school, and subsequently at the Adelaide School of Mines, where he completed his course as a wool-classer. In August, 1914, he went to Western Australia, and there held positions as bookkeeper and assistant manager on a Murchison Downs station. He returned to South Australia in October last to enlist.
