5414 Driver Patrick Alexander (Alick or Alex) Worland (1st Battery) born at Braidwood in 1889, he enlisted in June 1915 with his brother David Arthur Worland and also embarked with the 10th Reinforcements for the 1st D.A.C., which he joined in Egypt in November. And with which he crossed to France in April 1916. Transferring to the 1st Battery in March 1917, he served through until the Armistice. Alex returned home in the middle of 1919.
Alex was manager of a sheep station in Western New South Wales for many years. He finally retired to Bega, New South Wales and married late in life to Mary Constance Green and had no children. He died on 28 March 1953 and is buried in Bemboka, New South Wales.
