Son of John V. Vaughan and Elizabeth Vaughan of Bathurst, NSW.
Husband of Mabel E. Vaughan nee Humphries of Terry Street, Tempe Park, NSW. Cecil and Mabel married during 1913c in Annandale, NSW. Mabel later died during 1927c in NSW. Cecil later remarried.
Commenced return to Australia on 4 July 1919 aboard HT Wiltshire disembarking on 19 August 1919
